The IAA negotiates its accreditation charges with Certification Bodies on an individual basis and prospective Certification Bodies are invited to submit their proposals by outlining their individual accreditation requirements.
The IAA charges an initial accreditation fee, and on-going fees based on the number of third parties certified by Certification Bodies.
IAA Subsidised Schemes - How they work
To encourage the proliferation of ISO certifications amongst SMEs, the IAA offers Subsidised Funding Schemes available to IAA accredited Certification Bodies.
Subsidised Funding is made available to IAA accredited Certification Bodies to deliver 'FREE OF CHARGE' ISO certification services to their business customers. Consistent with certification practices, IAA charges all certified customers (via its accredited Certification Bodies) annual ISO Registration Certificate Management Fees.
The IAA's on-going accreditation charges to its Certification Bodies are off-set by IAA Subsidised Funding, thereby, benefitting SMEs which are able to take advantage of FREE ISO certifications.
Accredited ISO Compliance Resources
To qualify for IAA Subsidised Funding Schemes, Certification Bodies must be able to demonstrate that they will use ISO resources and personnel that are externally accredited by IAA covering their:
• ISO Compliance Manuals
• ISO Management Systems
• ISO Training Programmes
• ISO Consultants and ISO Auditors
Supporting European Union & Government Initiatives
The IAA supports new EU Procurement Directives (in addition to the OJEU for larger contracts). These new initiatives have now led to individual member Governments promoting equal access for SMEs to sub-OJEU Government and Public Sector Procurement Tenders for Contracts.
Prospective Certification Bodies are invited by the IAA to submit their proposals by outlining their individual accreditation requirements.
Process of Accreditation
Once the IAA has received a proposal from a prospective Certification Body, the IAA will then compile a bespoke offer for its accreditation services including all costs associated with initial compliance and on-going accreditation audits.
After Accreditation
Once accredited by the IAA, Certification Bodies can undertake third party certifications against ISO Management System Standards such as:
• ISO 9001
• ISO 14001
• ISO 27001
• OHSAS 18001
• BS 8477
• BS 25999
• BS 31100
